This exciting blackjack variant uses eight 48-card Spanish decks. In case you haven’t come across the definition of a Spanish deck before, it’s a deck from which all the 10s have been taken out. On starting the game, you’re invited to place your initial bet. Then, you get to see the first card of the dealer. At that point, if you think your hand will be better than the dealer’s, you could place an additional bet in the double attack area. The additional bet can’t exceed your initial bet. Then, the player gets two cards and is offered a choice of options: hit, stand, double the initial bet, double maximum (which means that the double attack bet will also be doubled) or surrender. The surrender option remains after you make your decision. Interestingly, you can double down even if you’ve already hit the hand.
Moreover, there are no restrictions on splitting – you can split any pair. Not only that but you can split a hand up to four times. The exception is that if you have a pair of aces and you split them, you’ll only get one additional card. Mind you, every time you split a hand, you’ll be doubling both your initial and additional double attack bet. If you buy insurance and the dealer has a blackjack, you’ll get a 5 to 2 payout. However, blackjack in this variation pays 1 to 1 and the dealer stands on soft 17.
